The day would have to start with erasing all the memories of the things I've done wrong during our marriage: I've belittled her in front of friends and family. I got angry over little things. I constantly looked at porn online and on TV. I tried to cheat on her in 2001 with an ex-girlfriend and also with one of her friends. We filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2003, and now we are in the middle of a chapter 13 bankruptcy. In 2004, I was so depressed about our life I became suicidal. I got counseling and then medication. On Valentine's Day in 2005, she told me she didn't love me anymore. I became suicidal again. We both went to counseling, reconciled, and even had another child (3rd one). In January 2006, I almost left her for an 18 year old. She wasn't working, and was 3 months pregnant, so she begged me to stay. I soon realized how lucky I was that she convinced me to stay. I've been a selfish, ignorant, disrespectful and unfaithful husband. My wife is so unhappy with how her life has turned out, and it's all because she made the mistake of marrying me. Thing is, we have 3 children, 10, 8, and 3, and I don't want them to experience separated parents like I did when I was seven. I really do still love her, but I completely understand why she has no love left for me. SO, my perfect Valentine's Day would begin with selective amnesia for my wife. Then I would check the mail, and find a check for $10,000 from an anonymous benefactor. I would buy her a beautiful diamond ring, and give her the rest so she can pay for the tummy tightening and augmentation she wants. (NOT me, HER) We would go see an early movie, holding hands the whole time, and then go to Olive Garden for dinner (her favorite restaurant).
